Project Evolution: Why Simpler is Now Smarter

So, why did I stop using this custom tool? Because the market got smarter, and simpler solutions became available.

Today, for most brands, it's more efficient to use a platform like Skai (formerly Kenshoo). You can export clean data directly to a Google Sheet, and if you already have a dashboard in Google Looker Studio, connecting it takes just a few minutes. This workflow delivers most of the benefits with a fraction of the setup.

This shows my philosophy: always choose the right tool for the job. But for the most complex challenges, like pulling data from the Amazon DSP platform (If you have access to the Beta), custom API development remains the best way to gain a true competitive edge.

Amazon Ad Automation: An Insider's Fix for Campaign Creation

Having spent two years at Amazon Advertising, I've seen firsthand the challenges of creating and optimizing campaigns. This experience motivated me to build intuitive tools that simplify the process, which continued after leaving Amazon.

The case for smart Amazon segmentation and automation

Segmenting auto campaigns is beneficial because it helps the Amazon algorithm understand similar products, allowing for optimization based on relevant data. This leads to improved ad performance and makes it easier to create effective custom campaigns later on.

Amazon Advertising provides two options for creating campaigns:

โ€“ A web interface where you can only create one campaign at a time.

โ€“ Uploading a spreadsheet with all the information in a specific order.

A fix built by the developer behind Amazon's own optimization systems

Both options are slow, annoying, and prone to human errors. However, thanks to this tool (you can download it here), preparing the spreadsheet will be easy and fast.

Tool Requirements:

Excel 2016 or above for Windows versions (other versions with Power Query should work).

Supported Marketplaces:

Vendor and Seller Accounts in DE, ES, FR, IT, and the UK.

Creating the tool itself was straightforward for me; however, designing the interface with Excel limitations was challenging. Therefore, if you have feedback about it, please share it here.
